The printer did not change; the room did

A profile that worked in February can fail in June because the filament absorbed moisture, the room warmed up, the AC draft shifted, or the garage door started cycling during prints. Treat the room as an input, not a background detail.

Measure both inside and outside the box

A dry box hygrometer is useful, but it does not tell you what the printer is breathing. Keep one room hygrometer near the machine and one inside priority storage. If failures correlate with room swings, fix the local environment before endlessly editing slicer profiles.

Enclose only what needs enclosing

PLA usually wants airflow, ABS/ASA wants draft control, and electronics may not love being baked inside an enclosure. The best setup is material-specific: dry filament, stable air around the print, and ventilation when fumes are part of the workflow.
